Last updated 6 October 2026. Plain-language summary of what we do with your data. This isn't written by a lawyer, but it's accurate.

What we collect

• Your email address, so we can send your baseline report and alerts.
• The URLs you ask us to watch, plus your product name if you give it.
• Snapshots of those public pages: the pricing text we extract each day. This is the change history.
• Basic request data when you sign up: a one-way hash of your IP address (used only to block spam signups) and your browser's user-agent string.
• Payment details, if you subscribe. These are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store card numbers.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't run ad trackers or third-party analytics on this site, and we don't set tracking cookies.
• We don't tell the companies you watch that you're watching them. We fetch their public pages like any visitor.

Where it's stored

Data is stored with Cloudflare (hosting and database). Emails go out through a transactional email provider, and payments go through a payment provider/merchant of record. Both are named here once they're chosen. These providers process data only to deliver the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while you use Tierdiff. Ask us to delete it and we'll remove your email and watch list within 30 days. Snapshots of public pricing pages may be kept as anonymous market history that isn't linked to you.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it, or ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted by replying to any Tierdiff email.

Tierdiff is a small independent product operated from Cape Town, South Africa. We aim to handle personal information in line with South Africa's POPIA and the general principles of the GDPR.
